Interior Handover and Snag Checklist for Homeowners

Handover should be a structured comparison between approved scope and installed work, not a rushed visual walk-through on moving day.

Prepared from ONEDECORE's interior-planning framework and reviewed against current homeowner questions. Project-specific recommendations require site measurements and an approved scope.

Review room by room

Use the approved scope or drawings and move systematically through each room. Record missing, damaged or incomplete items rather than relying on memory.

Operate every moving component

Open shutters, drawers, lift-ups and sliding doors. Check alignment, clearance, soft-close behavior and whether handles or profiles are comfortable to use.

Inspect visible finishes

Look at edges, joints, touch-up areas, sealant lines and interfaces with walls or worktops under normal room lighting.

Check service interfaces

Where the interior scope meets electrical, plumbing or appliances, confirm access and basic fit. Specialist commissioning may still belong to the relevant appliance or service provider.

Close snags in writing

Keep one shared list with location, issue and closure status. A written snag list makes final completion clearer for everyone involved.
